Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Director, Digital Marketing and e-Commerce will lead digital marketing strategy and execution, as well as transform the capabilities of the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago’s digital properties. The YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago is at an exciting juncture in its digital transformation and seeks a visionary, yet hands-on, marketing leader to lead it into a digital-first world.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of significant revenue growth generation, be technologically savvy, and have a passion for human-centered design. He/she will reimagine the Y’s digital experience and transform it into an engine of growth for the organization.
Scope of Responsibilities:
+ Bring the YMCA of Metro Chicago’s mission, programs and services to life across digital channels, while ensuring a holistic connection to other consumer touchpoints, including membership centers and the contact center.
+ Build and lead consumer-facing digital marketing acquisition strategies that drive traffic and convert into membership growth and program enrollment including paid media, social media, influencer marketing and content strategy.
+ Construct the road map to overhaul the customer experience across the YMCA of Metro Chicago’s web properties and mobile app, resulting in an integrated strategy to improve marketing ROI, acquisitions, retention, and deepen customer engagement. Define customer journeys and develop UI/UX design principles. Lead implementation of the roadmap.
+ Work cross-functionally with other teams, including Operations and Mission Advancement, to help the YMCA of Metro Chicago meet its strategic plan objectives.
+ Create and implement strategies to improve marketing campaign attribution across online and offline channels.
+ Own day-to-day management and optimization of Google, Facebook, and other digital marketing platforms. Channel ownership includes:
+ SEM and SEO
+ Display, Social, OLV
+ App Marketing
+ Affiliate Marketing
+ Provide strong team leadership: manage, mentor, and develop high-performing team members.
+ 10+ years of leadership in Consumer Marketing and e-Commerce with a focus on digital and social media.
+ Extensive knowledge in digital and interactive design, especially UX/UI web and mobile app design.
+ Fluency in working with cutting-edge tools, practices and platforms in digital, social and other areas of direct marketing.
+ Deep understanding of the digital environment and evolving tools and platforms used to improve online experience and presence. Ability to translate trends into business opportunities.
+ MBA or relevant master’s degree a plus.
+ Expertise in human-centered design a plus.

+ Reporting any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor
+ Following all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children
+ Reporting any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor
+ Completing all child abuse prevention training, as required
